Most Holy Father,
It is with great pleasure that I write to inform you of the success our experiment has found. Attendance at mass is up noticibly throughout the United States and most notibly in the Boston area. The widespread attention that the baseball club has garnered is generating interest and participation by both those looking for a spiritual home and those who had abandoned their faith but are rejoining the congregations.
The team itself has proven resilient, overcoming a number of key injuries and finishing with the best regular season record inthe league. They survived a grueling seven game series against the Maple Marauders to advance to the League Championship series against the Las Vegas Jokers. We look for support from the fans of our A-ball club to help offset the Jokers home field advantage when we travel west. We've already started a marketing campaign to the Las Vegas Lost ticket holders encouraging them to show up and show their loyalty.
At the end of the final game against Maple we raised the first of many Division Banners to decorate the roof at St Sebastian's Cathedral. I've included one of the souvenir versions for you with this letter.
I look forward to writing to you again with more good news soon.
I have the honor to profess myself with the most profound respect,
Your Holiness' most humble and obedient servant,
Archbishop William McAllister
